OraVet Plaque Prevention Gel: Home Dental Care for Dogs

Quick answer

OraVet Plaque Prevention Gel is a weekly at-home treatment that reduces plaque and tartar by forming an invisible barrier on your dog's teeth. It's a practical addition to your dog's oral hygiene routine.

How to diagnose and address plaque buildup at home

• Symptom: Yellow or brown deposits on teeth, bad breath, red or swollen gums.
• Likely cause: Bacteria in the mouth form plaque that hardens into tartar if not removed regularly.
• Corrective action: Apply OraVet Plaque Prevention Gel weekly to clean, dry teeth along the gum line. The gel creates an invisible barrier that reduces plaque and tartar formation. Apply once per week. Avoid food or water for 30 minutes after application.
• When to stop or choose another option: If your dog has advanced dental disease, loose teeth, or painful gums, consult a veterinarian before starting home care. OraVet is a preventive tool, not a treatment for existing dental disease. For severe cases, professional cleaning may be needed first.
